Who was Anna Nicole Smith’s son?
Born on January 22, 1986, in Mexia, Texas, Daniel Wayne was the son of famed model and actress Anna Nicole Smith and Billy Wayne Smith.
From the age of 16, Daniel made multiple appearances on his mother’s E! Network reality series, The Anna Nicole Show.
He also starred in two of Anna Nicole’s films, Skyscraper and To The Limit.
Friends said he was obsessed with video games, anime and Ben Stiller films.
In the summer of 2006, Daniel was taking classes at the Los Angeles Valley College.
How did he die?
On September 10, 2006, Anna Nicole welcomed her daughter, Dannielynn, into the world at the Doctors Hospital in Nassau, Bahamas.
Three days after her birth, Daniel, aged 20, died from an accidental drug overdose while visiting his mother and half-sister in the hospital room.
An autopsy at the time suggested Daniel’s death was attributed to a lethal combination of antidepressants and painkillers, some of which he was formally prescribed.
Following his death, an investigation was launched in the Bahamas.
In March 2008, his death was determined accidental.
Who was Anna Nicole Smith?
On November 28, 1967, Anna Nicole Smith – real name Vickie Lynn Hogan – was born in Houston, Texas.
After dropping out of Mexia High School as a sophomore, Anna Nicole turned to modeling.
She was first featured on the cover of Playboy in March 1992 and went on to appear as Playmate of the Month that May.
Anna Nicole landed a contract with Guess, starring in their denim campaign at the time.
Gaining popularity, Anna Nicole shot a campaign with H&M, her photos appearing on billboards across Europe.
In 1994, Anna Nicole made her on-screen debut in the film The Hudsucker Proxy.
The same year, she starred in Naked Gun 33 ⅓: The Final Insult.
In 1998, Anna Nicole appeared on the series Sin City Spectacular, as well in the film Anna Nicole Smith: Exposed.
Her own reality show premiered in August 2002, ending in October 2004.
On February 8, 2007, Anna Nicole was found unresponsive in her hotel room at the Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida.
She was pronounced dead one hour later by doctors at the Memorial Regional Hospital.
Following an investigation, Anna Nicole’s death was ruled an accidental overdose.
She was 39 years old at the time.
